Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Auberge Monnet, a culinary gem nestled in the charming town of La Roche-de-Glun, France. Located at 3 Pl. du Petit Puits, this quaint restaurant invites patrons to savor the true essence of French bistro cuisine. With a focus on fresh, local ingredients and a laid-back atmosphere, Auberge Monnet is a spot where culinary tradition meets modern comfort.

One of the standout dishes on the menu is the Friture de Truitelles, sourced from the pristine pisciculture in Sône. Priced reasonably at €15.00, this dish showcases the delicate flavors of freshwater fish, making it a must-try for seafood lovers. The freshness of the trouts is evident, and when paired with a glass of the Spring 21 Crozes Hermitage, priced at €40.00, the experience is elevated to a new level, highlighting the wine's vibrant fruitiness and refreshing acidity.

If you're in the mood for something sweet, don't miss the delightful Ile Flottante à la Fleur d'Oranger. Priced at €7.00, this dessert evokes nostalgia, reminiscent of the homemade treats our grandmothers used to prepare. For chocolate aficionados, the Mousse au Chocolat promises a rich, indulgent experience, made with 75% grand cru dark chocolate, also available for €7.00 and loved by many patrons.

Customer testimonials reflect the warm atmosphere and friendly service that Auberge Monnet is known for. Stephen describes the "wonderful selection of tasty, delicious French bistro food" and praises the outside dining experience, while Jeff notes the "excellent food" and "good value," affirming the restaurant's commitment to quality. For families, the laid-back setting, along with great local produce, makes it an ideal destination for a Sunday meal.

While some reviews mention slight inconsistencies in portion sizes and the temperature of main courses, the overall sentiment leans towards positivity. Yannick recalls his experience fondly, commending the outstanding desserts that left a lasting impression.

Auberge Monnet is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of local flavors and French culinary tradition. Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through, a visit to this delightful bistro is well worth your time. Come and enjoy a leisurely meal, take in the serene surroundings, and create beautiful memories over delicious food.

Wonderful selection tasty delicious french bistro food. Try Eggplant parm. Outside dining a must although can get windy.

Had come here a couple of years ago and still liked it even though I was a bit less excited than the first time due to main courses: they were cold when they reached our table and portions were tiny. The dessert was still amazing though.

Very friendly staff, excellent food, good value. Well worth the visit.

Enjoyable family Sunday meal, laid back, great local produce and service. A nice stoll around the lake aftwards too. What more could you want.

Super service, the food a bit on the oily side for my taste, but overall it was a nice lunch.

Lovely location, welcome with a smile, great fresh product dishes and superb wine list! What else?

Hidden Gem. Absolutely a fantastic example of the region. I went for lunch with my wife before going to the vineyards and I was very surprised how good it was. The owner and staff are very attentive and provide high class service. The prices were fair as well.
